BvCM Regional Event North in Wolfsburg – Credit Management Practice Update 10

This was the tenth time that financial experts from numerous companies met in the Autostadt in Wolfsburg to attend the Credit Management Practice Update to which invitations have been issued jointly by BvCM, PASCHEN and BAUKING.

As every year, this time the event also provided interesting topics and important information concerning the topic of credit management. At the beginning of the afternoon, Christian Volkmer from Projekt 29 GmbH & Co. KG entertainingly presented the introduction of the EU Regulation on the processing of personal data in May 2018 and explained what the new regulations will involve for companies. The next lecture was also characterized by IT security: Friedrich Wimmer from Corporate Trust Business Risk & Crisis Management GmbH demonstrated by numerous examples of possible cyber attacks that a negligent handling of sensitive data can be dangerous and have frightening effects. Credit management in a narrower sense was the topic of Wolfgang Lier’s lecture from WL Credit Management. He spoke about the relation between the sales and credit management department within a company and gave advice on how credit managers can improve and strengthen their in-house image.

The reform of avoidance of transactions in insolvency proceedings which finally has come into force was introduced by attorney at law Lutz Paschen. Once more, he traced the long-lasting procedure as well as his efforts for a legislative amendment as head of the BvCM capital office. He also introduced the new regulations and gave valuable advice on handling them.

Besides the speaker’s lectures the informative afternoon was a welcome platform for all participants for intensive networking and exchanging experiences. The next Credit Management Practice Update will take place in spring 2018 in the Autostadt.
