The “digital transformation” and its impact on credit management was the core theme at this year’s Federal Congress of the Bundesverband Credit Management e.V.(BvCM) which took place on 14 and 15 October 2015 in Würzburg. Around 600 credit manager, staff members of service providers and other guests took advantage of the 12th annual congress to learn and to discuss together how far digital trends like “big data” will change the credit managements’ fields of activity in the future.
PASCHEN Rechtsanwälte was represented as one of the exhibitors at the event and contributed also to the event’s lecture program. Lutz Paschen, attorney at law and capital representative of the BvCM, reported on current developments in the reform of avoidance of transactions in insolvency proceedings. Attorney at law and leader of the BvCM insolvency practice group Michael Schmidt reported on the role of the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) concerning the reform of avoidance of transactions in insolvency proceedings. Attorney at law and lecturer at the University of Bochum Jürgen Baumeister updated the alumni of former credit manager in insolvency law.
The main theme of both event days, the digital transformation, is an important current topic and to be understood an evolution, as Jan Schneider-Maessen, chairman of the BvCM, said. He expressed that he was very satisfied with the whole event: “We had 15 per cent more participants compared to last year, there were good conversations with nice colleagues and also the ambience as a whole was just perfect.” Therefore for next year’s Federal Congress, Schneider-Maessen has only one wish: “That it continues as it has so far.”
