In-house counsels vote PASCHEN number 1 in insolvency law

PASCHEN Rechtsanwälte is once again one of the top law firms in Germany: In the annual survey “kanzleimonitor.de – Empfehlung ist die beste Referenz” of the Federal Association of in-house counsel e.V. (BUJ) PASCHEN achieved top ratings in several categories and has once against shown itself to be a top player amongst multinational major law firms.

PASCHEN is number 1 for the first time in the field of insolvency law and is thus on a par with CMS and Gleiss Lutz. PASCHEN is the only one of the three first-placed companies to exclusively represent the interests of creditors. The law firm with its headquarters in Berlin also ranks among the top law firms in the eastern region and shares second place based on the recommendations of companies with <1 billion turnover along with the firms: Görg, Dr. Schmitt & Kollegen, Noerr and White & Case. In the category “Hidden Champions”, PASCHEN made it into the top 3 and was able to maintain last year’s good ranking.

At the forefront in the “individual ranking”, attorney at law Michael Schmidt, partner of PASCHEN and head of the law firm’s Insolvency Law Practice Group, was awarded first place among all lawyers in the field of insolvency law and was recommended several times in this category. Therefore, as in previous years, Michael once again enjoys the greatest trust among surveyed in-house lawyers in this category.

For the current 2019/2020 study, conducted jointly by Frankfurt’s dfv media group and the magazine “unternehmensjurist”, with the advice of Prof. Dr. Peter Körner, Director Corporate Legal Insights (CLI) in Frankfurt, more than 5,000 in-house lawyers from legal departments of 821 German companies, associations and societies of all size categories and in 32 different fields of law were surveyed. More than 11,500 recommendations were collected, including almost 9,000 for domestic lawyers and law firms alone.
